1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to remember your preferences and improve your experience.

2. Cookies we use

CuriaLex uses the following types of cookies:

  • Session cookies: These are temporary cookies that expire when you close your browser. They are used to maintain your login session via Clerk authentication.
  • Preference cookies: We store your language preference (English or French) in localStorage under the key curialex_lang.
  • Consent cookies: We store your cookie consent decision in localStorage under the key curialex_cookie_consent.

We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies.

3. How to accept or decline cookies

When you first visit CuriaLex, a banner at the bottom of the screen invites you to accept or decline cookies. Your choice is stored locally on your device.

You may also manage cookies through your browser settings at any time.

4. How to withdraw consent

You can withdraw your consent at any time by clearing the curialex_cookie_consent key from your browser's localStorage. To do this:

  • Open your browser's developer tools (F12 or Cmd+Option+I)
  • Navigate to Application > Local Storage > curialex.org
  • Delete the curialex_cookie_consent entry
  • Reload the page — the consent banner will reappear
